The idea of this project, which was initiated by Mrs-Durden, is to browse a category or sub-category that you don't necessarily visit frequently, or that you browse the least, collect some of the pictures you find stands out, and feature them in your journal!
Use the tag #TheVoyage and make your own journal and share your discovery with the community!

Voyage to the unknown: Master Journal
I have chosen the category Photography - EMOTIVE PORTRAITS.
I like to fav photography artworks in general, but never that kind of photography...so I decided to see what's there to find
Those look innocent, but if you go and search through the category on dA, you will find all the bad stuff...very adult oriented stuff, just not emotive portraits.
I don't know...maybe my next voyage should be ARTISTIC nudes. Today I was bombarded with bad, tasteless photos.
But lucky I found some gems...mostly old ones, but for me art gets never too old...it's timeless.
I bet you'll fav at least 80% of them .
I tag the following deviants:
I would tag some more, but...well…
If you like that voyage journal, why not do it...tagged or not tagged.
I promised my yearly ART review...didn't I?
Shame on me for being so late
Because I'm a big thank you giver...what to expect other then...
Thank you for your watch, faving and commenting on my artworks.
As you know I'm also a full time admin for the group watercolorists
It takes lots of my free/art time...but I'm happy to be part of it
Now let's go to the main part of the journal
2017 - MY YEAR IN ART REVIEW
In December 2017 I reached my first 500 watchers!
I have painted 21 watercolor paintings and did some pencil, acrylic and soft pastel experiments...again...but...had no time to explore it more.
In 2017 I took part in my first Inktober
Great experience...very exhausting, but it's worth it...even if you cheat a little bit with time And I got to try out ink...never painted with it before. I must say I love it...but I have to use the water to make it more "fluid".
Some of my Inktober paintings
My art experiments with other art media
What did I paint (my art subjects):
Surreal & fantasy experiments
Landscape & scenery
Art collaborations (writer & painter)
My color palette was quite strange ...I noticed I didn't paint with lots of green, so I tried to use it a little bit more and in the end every other painting turned out to be too green.
I wish I would paint more often and also to be more bold with my style. I'm still in the lost phase. I'm a little bit here and a little bit there.
Now I'm painting so complex ...the more I want to have a loose style, that lets the paper breathe, the more layer I put on it.
I would be very happy about any kind of help to improve my painting skills and style...like YouTube videos, giving me some critiques, showing me some new art styles...whatever, I'm eager to learn and improve.
Thank you for reading.
Just a little reminder...so you won't say
"How did I miss THAT?!"
In JULY it's time for 31 Watercolors is 31 Days

Since I asked you about my country Slovenia and how a great response I got...why not share some visual awesomeness
Because my National turist organization sucks big time, I have to do the dirty job.
I found a great video...just the way she says the names of the places...oh my XD
I've been to all of them, except to Kranjska Gora (skiing resort -> I don't ski) and Triglavski narodni park (not a mountain expert/lover)
And there is one city where I was born and lived as a child and one where I live close by now and go to work...try to guess which
Look at that awesome contest...you can bet I'm entering
You should too, it's a great challenge...and the prizes are "nice" too.
