Hello Hello
I promised my yearly ART review...didn't I?
Shame on me for being so late
Because I'm a big thank you giver...what to expect other then...
Thank you for your watch, faving and commenting on my artworks.
As you know I'm also a full time admin for the group watercolorists
It takes lots of my free/art time...but I'm happy to be part of it
Now let's go to the main part of the journal
2017 - MY YEAR IN ART REVIEW
Watchers:
In December 2017 I reached my first 500 watchers!
Artworks:
I have painted 21 watercolor paintings and did some pencil, acrylic and soft pastel experiments...again...but...had no time to explore it more.
In 2017 I took part in my first Inktober
Great experience...very exhausting, but it's worth it...even if you cheat a little bit with time And I got to try out ink...never painted with it before. I must say I love it...but I have to use the water to make it more "fluid".
Some of my Inktober paintings
My art experiments with other art media
My first and last artwork of 2017
What did I paint (my art subjects):
Woman portrait
Surreal & fantasy experiments
Landscape & scenery
Animals
Art collaborations (writer & painter)
SUMMARY
My color palette was quite strange ...I noticed I didn't paint with lots of green, so I tried to use it a little bit more and in the end every other painting turned out to be too green.
I wish I would paint more often and also to be more bold with my style. I'm still in the lost phase. I'm a little bit here and a little bit there.
Now I'm painting so complex ...the more I want to have a loose style, that lets the paper breathe, the more layer I put on it.
I would be very happy about any kind of help to improve my painting skills and style...like YouTube videos, giving me some critiques, showing me some new art styles...whatever, I'm eager to learn and improve.
Thank you for reading.
Bye bye
